Listen On…

In this first episode of the FreshMinds Podcast, host Mitch Simon sits down with two people who have spent 15 years changing how people think about business. Ronen Gafni is the creator of FreshBiz, a business simulation game played by over 100,000 people worldwide, and a TEDx speaker. Simcha Gluck is his partner and co-author of The New Entrepreneurs: Changing the Way You Play Life. Together, they talk about one big question: now that AI can do so much of what we used to call work, what is left for us to do?

The Old Game vs The New Game

Most of us grew up learning business the Monopoly way. Scarcity. Competition. Keep your cards close to your chest. Win at the expense of others. Ronen and Simcha have spent years showing people that this is not the only way to play. The new game is about collaboration, creativity, and multi-dimensional winning, where more than one person can succeed at the same time. The question this episode asks is which game are you currently playing, and is AI pushing you deeper into the old one?

What AI Actually Demands From You

The biggest insight from this conversation is that AI does not just speed things up. It changes what actually matters. When a machine can write your emails, build your reports, and create your business plans, the only thing that is truly yours is your human genius. Your creativity. Your ability to connect with people. Your authentic voice.

Simcha points out that the market is already reacting. Coca-Cola faced public backlash for AI-generated commercials. People are tired of being spoken to by content that has no real human behind it. What stands out now is a real person with a real message.

Ronen puts it simply. The question should not be how AI can help me do my work better. The question should be how AI can help me express my art better.

The Two Skills That Make Us Human

Ronen identifies two things that separate humans from every other species, and both of them happen to be exactly what AI cannot replace.

The first is collaboration and communication. Our ability to build language, share ideas, and create together is what lifted us from the bottom of the food chain. FreshBiz is built on this skill. So is the new economy.

The second is creativity. The ability to imagine something that does not exist yet and communicate it to others. AI can remix and recombine what already exists, but it cannot genuinely originate. That space belongs to you.

These are not soft skills. They are your most important competitive advantages right now.

AI Makes Failure Cheap. Use That.

One of the most practical ideas from Ronen is this. AI has made experimentation dramatically cheaper. You can now test an idea, throw it away, and start over in minutes. Ronen rebuilt his own software four times in six months because with AI, it was fast enough and cheap enough to do so. No traditional company could afford that before.

The lesson is simple. Be curious. Be brave. Fail fast. Start again. That is how you find what you are actually great at.

Three Things to Do This Week

Be honest in every conversation, with your team, your clients, and with AI. The quality of what AI gives back to you depends entirely on the quality and honesty of what you put in.

Find your action cards. Ask yourself what you bring that no one else can. Ask the people around you what they count on you for. That answer is your art.

Fail faster. Pick one idea this week. Use AI to prototype it quickly. Test it. Throw it away if it does not work. Try again. Make failure a cheap and normal part of how you create.
