Inspired Teams Testimonials

This course really opened my eyes and taught me so much on how to excel remotely. You are pushed to think in different ways and see situations differently, but it pays off and allows you to grow.

Meredith Swagart

This class is a great way to get to know others perspectives on life as a remote team member. You will get pushed out of your comfort zone as you build stronger relationships with your teammates.

Heather Masini

This class enabled me to become more successful and contribute more as a remote team member. Mitch always pushes us to ask the difficult questions to our team. This has helped me be a better teammate as well!

Abe Collier

This class has been really great to build camaraderie and to hear from others on my team, and on other teams, that we’re all in this together! Knowing that everyone is feeling the same struggles helped build my confidence to speak up more.

Nikki Duda

This class has helped me build more confidence for situations in how to approach my coworkers in areas where I may need help.

Now I feel more equipped with the right way to get my thoughts across in order to move forward. Mitch challenges you to really dig deep and figure out exactly what you need to succeed.

Michelle Brown

This course is a great way to help you connect with other team members at Host. Working remotely has its own challenges and opportunities for success, and working with Mitch has helped me to learn my strengths and encouraged me to speak up.

Katherine Zwingli

This class was a completely new environment, and it was different than what I expected. Each class that we’ve had has been easy to stay fully engaged in the class and Mitch has been awesome. We’ve learned a lot of key points that we can take back to our teams and be able to really make a difference.

Patrick Tubbs

I have been able to fine tune and develop more of my emotional intelligence and I feel that I have been able to let my guard down and be able to express how I’m feeling to my team.

Alexis Magee

I wish I took the class when I was a newer because remote work is so much different compared to in person. I was familiar with some of the concepts in this class through experience but taking this class has enhanced my knowledge and practice.

Czarina Dominguez

This class pushed me out of my comfort zone. I’ve repeatedly wanted to be more vulnerable in my meetings and speak up. This desire aligned with taking this class at the same time. It helped me go into the rest of my week successfully.

Natalie Galaviz

This class is quite literally a wakeup call in the morning first thing. But it’s been great to open up my lines of communication to learn how to speak to people in a short, concise way.

Kathy Moreno

I definitely want to underscore the implications of having a more solid emotional intelligence and being able to speak up for yourself. When you’re onboarded in this company, there’s a lot of talk about culture and culture fit. As a new hire it’s easy to not take that seriously. Coming to this class really emphasized how Host, Mitch, and this class is designed to better us and our relationships with our team members, especially in a remote environment. I feel much more “at home” now than I did when I started.

Raphael Umphres

I’ve been able to build deep connections in the one-on-one breakout sessions, answering the vulnerable questions, and discussions about how we feel on a variety of topics. Learning the “Hey Team” question, and getting comfortable with getting a little uncomfortable has increased my confidence and made me feel better when approaching issues.

Chelsea Drumm

This class made me think about things a lot differently than I used to. I specifically remember one lesson on failure when the lesson was “failure is just practice” and I really think about that every day now.  I expected this to be a great class, but I didn’t expect it to change the way I think every day.
I appreciate that and it’s gotten me out of my comfort zone. It’s made me want to be more direct with how I talk in the workplace which I struggle with, so but this class has given me the prompts to do that, which has been great.

Ali Burley

This class helped me to be more vulnerable in the workplace, especially being a new recruiter here. I feel like I was able to connect with other departments and get to know people on a deeper level. I’ve also learned how to communicate better with my own team in moving forward.

Krista Radoiu

I think in general, as human beings, our brains are what make us special, and being in this environment and feeling comfortable sharing our thoughts openly without the fear of retaliation or getting punished is really special.

Cindy Cook

What I love about Inspired Teams is the ability to bring up how we feel and the scripting to help us be more intentional about sharing that. We really work to bring more self-awareness into the workplace so that we can share and get to be a closer team member with people that we might not even work with in person.

Tiara Hairson

I have been able to use the information I received in this class right away and it benefited me tremendously. I think that everybody on my team has good intentions, and wants to share – if given the opportunity. I think that more people should have this opportunity to share their feelings and talk about and connect with other people in different departments.

Aimee Gonzalez

What I loved about Inspired teams was the focus on learning that no bad parts to how we feel about issues on our team. There is a constructive way to reframe how we’re feeling when we’re stressed, exhausted, feeling unsupported, etc. When we’re feeling this way, it’s really on us to connect with each other and find ways to turn it into something constructive, work with it, and engage with it. The worst thing we can do instead of engaging with it – is do nothing and let our preconceived notions keep us feeling isolated.

Daniel Youngren

The Inspired Teams program has helped me think and process my thoughts deeper. I ask more questions to help uncover why I feel a certain way or why we as a team feel a certain way.

Kristian Branson

My biggest takeaway from this course is actually learning how to be more vulnerable with my team. We spend more time talking about how we’re actually feeling and thinking and not just the “corporate talk” that many of us have learned. In turn, through sharing those actual feelings I feel like I’ve been able to bring my more authentic self to work.

Bridgett Beasley

This course has allowed me to connect with people who are thousands of miles away, just through a computer screen. And I think that’s something revolutionary and amazing in our generation today because it’s very new to me, and being remote is also a new process for me. This course was very helpful in learning how to be able to be there for my teammates in how we can build a better team and how I can better ask for help and better initiate new projects in our team that would be very beneficial. Everyone should take this course, especially if they’re new to the remote world.

Sydney Wright

What I loved about this course, was learning that it’s okay to feel vulnerable at times and the new communication style with your team. Learning how to be appropriately vulnerable makes your team grow closer. I’ve been able to open up more to my team, and that’s brought us even closer. And the closer you are to your team, the more you’re going to be happy with coming to work. I love that it’s okay to open up and having that “human element” to our work as a team.

Cristina Vasquez

My absolute favorite thing that I’ve taken away from this course is the diversity of people that are in this group. We all work in a different specialty, and there was a lot to learn in my new role and I had questions I didn’t feel comfortable asking. Now I can bounce ideas off my team members easier. It has helped me build my relationships with people here at work.  I feel a lot more comfortable and confident approaching my boss, asking for more work essentially because I felt like I wasn’t being utilized to the best of my ability. I felt confident because I rehearsed it in class first.

Kalynn Bassett

I feel like I can better identify my feelings and others feelings and better understand where it’s coming from and then based on that, use these tools I’ve learned in class to react and do what’s necessary.

Mckenna Musselwhite

The most helpful thing was being able to communicate with other people in different
departments.
It’s been nice understanding other issues that go on on the other side of things that I don’t necessarily see and have been able to a bigger picture of everything.

Kellie Schreiber

I’ve really benefited from communicating how I’m feeling and not holding it in and practicing the best way to share things with my team.

Kylie Morgan

This course has really really pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and be just like a
lot more vulnerable with not only myself but other team members who I don’t connect with on a
daily basis. I’ve personally been able to dig deeper and understand how I’m feeling, understand how others feel, and express that out loud as well.

Cassidy Fitzpatrick

I feel like I can better identify my feelings and others feelings and better understand where it’s coming from and then based on that, use these tools I’ve learned in class to react and do what’s necessary.

Mckenna Musselwhite

Whenever I was communicating with my team coworkers I felt like I wasn’t expressing what I was feeling versus what was happening. Being able to verbalize this in a constructive manner. It’s been great to have these conversations and see things come to fruition by using these new tools. I feel more confident being able to communicate what is going on now.

Meridith Swagart

The “Hey Team” method has the
“I” language and helps when bringing up issues where it includes everybody so it doesn’t sound so accusatory.

Kristen Beatty

I would say the biggest thing for me is the course that really pushes you to reflect on past jobs
and past relationships with team members and managers. It’s nice to just see how
far you’ve come, where you are now, and it’s also good to just see how much better the
relationships can be.

Kay Thresher

This program has really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I’m a very shy
person and don’t really talk a lot. But being in the breakout rooms encouraged me to
speak to other people in the company.

Alodia Ricafort

This program has given me more tools to help me
communicate and focus on not bringing bad habits from old jobs into my new job.
I feel better able to reaffirm
how I’m feeling or figure out how the rest of us are feeling so we can talk about it and not hold anything against each other.

Katie Cummings

The “Hey Team” method extremely helpful. Using this has helped me open up conversations wtihout being accusatory with my team so that people can share what is really going on.

Lisa Johnson

Whenever I was communicating with my team coworkers I felt like I wasn’t expressing what I was feeling versus what was happening. Being able to verbalize this in a constructive manner. It’s been great to have these conversations and see things come to fruition by using these new tools. I feel more confident being able to communicate what is going on now.

Mitch has an exceptional way of challenging your way of thinking and encouraging you to be a better version of yourself. Personal responsibility, personal vulnerability, and transparency are a few areas that his methods have changed my way of thinking. I absolutely recommend any professional thats looking to continue their personal growth to work with Mitch!
