Our Methodology

Assessment
In the assessment phase, you will receive a complimentary coaching call, where we will discuss specific needs and desired objectives. Then, all retreat participants are invited to complete a short anonymous leadership team survey to establish psychological safety, identify relevant issues and open up ideas for strategy.

Strategy Agenda Design
Based on specific needs that surface through the assessment phase, we partner with you to customize the retreat agenda. Our unique strategic process outlines the most critical issues that need to be addressed first in order to create a great strategy.

Facilitation
On the day of your retreat, our expert facilitators lead the team through the agenda, and enroll everyone in accomplishing the retreat goals. Depending on the needs of the team, retreats can range from 1-4 days of deepening connections, strengthening the bond with your team, and creating plans for action and accountability.

Follow Up
After your retreat, you receive a detailed strategy including the vision, objectives, commitments, and tasks with deadlines and references to the accountable people. We will then discuss future steps to enhance accountability and future planning.

How long is the process?
For most organizations, we can have a complete strategic planning process completed within 3 months. A sample timeline, excluding the time needed to begin the implementation looks like:
- Prework: 4 weeks
- Strategic planning in person: 2-5 days + post work as needed
- Plan competition and roll out: 3 weeks
Who should we include?
We help you decide who should be included in the agenda planning part of the process. Typically, strategic planning engages the leadership team and/or the board of directors. You may want to include specific staff, SMEs or additional stakeholders in parts of the process as well.
Do you provide a discount for nonprofits?
Yes! We provide a 10% discount for non-profit organizations.
